COMMUNICATIVE PERSPEKTIVISATION IN S. GUGIĆ’S POEMS JENSEITS SYMBOLISCHER ORDNUNG AND ZERBROCHENER TEXRKOERPER

Abstract

Sandra Gugić’s protokolle der gegenwart manages to capture and uncover the true zeitgeist of the present society. In her aim to select, compile, and create all-encompassing discourses, she utilises not only wordplay but also transcends language barriers and the concept of meaning itself. The aim of this paper is to apply a solely syntactical procedure, the so-called communicative perspectivisation, on two of her poems, JENSEITS SYMBOLISCHER ORDNUNG and ZERBROCHENER TEXRKOERPER, which would allow for a better understanding of the structural composition of her work and give an insight into the possible ways of constructing communicative foundation in texts with atypical form. To begin, the paper concentrates on defining the two poems as texts by using standards of textuality. Fol lowing from that, the now-defined texts are divided into smaller sections, called ‘textems’, which build bigger constructions, frameworks based around particular themes. Finally, the tripartite model of communicative perspectivisation described by Tošović (2005) is being applied, and the results can be summarised as follows: information, the first aspect of the communicative perspectivisation, was based around the theme/rheme; orientation and linearisation, the second and third aspect, were interlinked, so that the frameworks with opening orientation have initial linearisation and the ones with closing orientation correspond to the ones with final linearisation.
